Seabird + Seal

Seabird + Seal speaks of synergy and friendship. Seabird’s wings resemble ocean waves. The Seal rides below as Seabird flies above. Fish flow by in the waves.

Seabird + Seal is made using an antique doll body, repurposed fabric and leather, vintage buttons, collaged clothing patterns from my mom’s collection. The wings, fish and seal’s front flippers are made of painted wood. The wings are attached to the body using a tinker toy.

Seabird + Seal is a one of a kind mixed media  art doll sculpture with wall hanging loop on back and measures 18 x 20 x 9 inches
