The Swan is Dreaming

The Swan is Dreaming is made with a vintage doll body, repurposed fabric, collaged paper, embroidery and antique beads. The wood wings are attached to the body with an old block and tinker toys and the body is collaged with old clothing patterns from my mom’s collection and painted with acrylic paint. The neck is hand embroidered with a fleur de lis and cartography symbols that represent map coordinates, campsites, water, and a mountain peak. The lower legs are painted black and sewn with tiny seed beads.

The Swan is Dreaming is a one of a kind mixed media art doll sculpture with a loop on the back for wall display and measures 18 x 21 x 4 inches.
